Our Service Policy
Some of what defines a clinic is what it chooses not to sell. CityDent Istanbul does not bundle hotels into treatment prices and does not operate an airport shuttle. Both are deliberate decisions, and this page explains the reasoning behind them — along with what we do provide instead.
Why We Do Not Offer Hotel Packages
Committing to a clinic before meeting its dentists carries a real risk: you may well change your mind once you have seen the premises and spoken to the clinician in person. Patients often feel enthusiastic about what they read online or hear over the phone — and we would rather they waited until after the first consultation before deciding anything. No final decision about dental treatment should be made before an actual examination.
Bundling a hotel into a treatment price works against that. It creates a financial reason to go ahead with a plan you have not yet seen, from a clinic you have not yet visited. CityDent Istanbul prioritises patient autonomy — your ability to make an informed decision without feeling tied to a particular clinic or treatment plan.
There is no practical obstacle on our side. CityDent sits in Taksim, an area with hundreds of hotels; assembling a package would be easy. We have made a conscious decision not to. Not offering hotel packages means patients choose their own accommodation according to their preferences and their budget, rather than inheriting ours.
The alternative would be to fold the cost of a hotel into the treatment price, or to compromise part of the clinical process to absorb it. Neither is acceptable to us. The quality of the dental treatment is the priority, and the treatment price reflects clinical work alone.
What we do instead
We are happy to suggest hotels close to the clinic. Patients receive information about nearby options and choose freely from them — which keeps the decision theirs while still ensuring convenient access to appointments. Guidance and support on accommodation, yes; accommodation sold as part of a treatment plan, no.
Why We Do Not Run an Airport Shuttle
CityDent Istanbul does not operate an airport shuttle service for patients travelling in for treatment. On paper it sounds like an obvious convenience. In practice it introduces a set of operational problems we have experienced first-hand.
- Legal restrictions at the airports Passenger transport from Istanbul's airports is tightly regulated, which limits what a clinic-run shuttle can legally do.
- Finding the vehicle Patients arriving in an unfamiliar airport frequently struggle to locate a private shuttle, particularly after a long flight.
- Delays and traffic Istanbul traffic and logistical hold-ups make arrival times unreliable in both directions.
- Late flights If a flight is delayed, the shuttle may already have left — leaving the patient stranded at the airport, which is the worst possible start to a treatment trip.
For these reasons we decided against running the service. Instead, we give patients information and support in arranging their own transport to the clinic — licensed taxis, public transport, or car hire. The aim is the same as the shuttle's, reached more reliably: that patients arrive safely and on time.
We are within walking distance of the licensed airport shuttles
CityDent Istanbul is in Taksim, in the heart of the city and easily reached from both Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen. Numerous licensed shuttle services run to the Taksim area, which is within walking distance of the clinic and of most nearby hotels. Taksim Metro Station is also a short walk away, giving patients a second reliable option.
These services operate at all hours, including weekends and public holidays, so patients are not tied to a fixed pick-up window. Details of the routes and practical guidance are set out on our hotel and airport transfer page.
What the Treatment Price Does Cover
If accommodation and transport sit outside the treatment plan, it is worth being equally precise about what sits inside it.
- Examination and diagnostics, at no charge Clinical examination, panoramic X-rays and 3D tomography are provided free, before any commitment exists and regardless of whether you go ahead.
- A written treatment plan Procedures, materials, timeline and estimated costs, documented in writing before treatment begins, with material brands named rather than described in general terms.
- Clinical and laboratory work under one roof Implant surgery, prosthetic rehabilitation and in-house CAD/CAM production are coordinated within the same institution, which is where the treatment price actually goes.
- Patient rights support and written warranty A dedicated Patient Rights Representative from the start of treatment, and written warranty terms for eligible treatments.

Does CityDent Istanbul offer all-inclusive treatment packages with a hotel?
No. Accommodation is never bundled into the treatment price. We can recommend hotels near the clinic, but patients book their own accommodation according to their preferences and budget. The treatment price covers clinical work only.

Do you pick patients up from the airport?
No, we do not operate an airport shuttle. Licensed shuttle services run frequently from both Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen to Taksim, within walking distance of the clinic, and Taksim Metro Station is nearby. Our team will explain the options and help you plan your route.
Why not simply run a shuttle, given how many patients arrive by air?
Because it fails at precisely the moments it matters. Airport transport is legally restricted, private vehicles are hard to find in a large terminal, traffic makes timing unreliable, and a delayed flight can mean the shuttle has already left. Guidance on licensed services gets patients to the clinic more dependably.
Should I book my treatment before I arrive in Istanbul?
You can arrange an appointment in advance, but we would encourage you not to make a final decision about the treatment itself until after the first consultation. Seeing the clinic and meeting the dentist in person often changes what patients want, and nothing in our process obliges you to commit beforehand.
